The landscape of the resort slopes down to meet the sea with its own exclusive beach. Beach goers can stroll the golden beach crescent, play in the tranquil water or soak up the sun and views on comfortable loungers. The resort’s nine swimming pools appear to be a part of the natural landscape, each with its own character. The citadel’s long pool winds along the length of the hotel past a restaurant that serves drinks and snacks to pool guests. A private, secluded pool is in the resort’s Persian Garden. Each of the first three tiers of the resort’s villas have its own private pool and the last one shares a pool with El Mirador restaurant. Along the beach are two natural ocean lagoon pools.
Abama has tennis and paddle facilities for every level from the beginner to high-level pro. There are also four paddle tennis courts with AstroTurf surfaces.
Several shops at Abama feature high-end fashion, jewelry, daily necessities and sundry essentials. The spa has its own boutique and sells exclusive bath and beauty products. Abama’s Canary Islands Hotel has 469 rooms and suites that are divided between the Complex and the Villas. Private balconies have spectacular ocean, garden or golf course views. The Complex incorporates ethnic architecture with a Moorish flavor in many of its rooms and suites. The marble bathrooms are stocked extensively with luxurious bath amenities. All air conditioning is individually controlled, guests have high speed Internet access, satellite and cable television and two-line speaker phones. Other amenities include a mini bar, coffee machine, iron and ironing board and a security safe. Around the clock room service and laundry services are available.
The citadel is in an ideal location between the beach and the golf course. Guests can easily walk to either or get to each one in two minutes by a chauffeured buggy. This accommodation offers a choice of deluxe rooms or two kinds of suites. Using designs that incorporate local materials like Canary Island pine, they are equipped with either a king bed or twin beds and a spacious oak wardrobe. Marble bathrooms have deep tubs and separate shower stalls. Bathrooms are stocked with Asprey bath products. Private furnished terraces overlook the Atlantic with La Gomera Island on the horizon.
Abama’s villas are nestled among the botanic gardens and combine luxury with seclusion. In addition to all of the citadel amenities, each row of villas has pool access, stunning ocean views from the top floor rooms, high ceilings with exposed beams and four-poster beds. The Villas also have full room service and transport to other parts of the resort.
Reserved exclusively for adults, the Tagor’ Villas are a row of luxury rooms and suites in a tropical flower garden with pool access. It is the perfect place for honeymooners. In addition to all of the room amenities in the rest of the resort, complimentary water, soft drinks, wine and beer are served at the pool all day. Guests are also served appetizers four times a day and are served a buffet breakfast every morning in the El Mirador Restaurant.
